With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I figured you might be able to use a new side dish for your table. This simple side does require a little prep to peel the turnips, but it's otherwise pretty effortless, and the results are mouth-wateringly good.
If you're pressed for stovetop space, you can also do this in the oven by tossing the turnips in the oil with some salt and pepper and then roasting them in a 400°F oven until they're golden brownx
If blue cheese isn't your thing, this is also really good topped with a mountain of grated parmesan or pecorino romano.
