Grilling season has officially arrived, and for the first time in almost 3 years, I actually feel like meeting up with a big groups of friends to cook and eat.
This ham and sweet potato salad with honey mustard dressing is the perfect side dish for a barbecue or potluck, and the best part is that it's super easy to make. Instead of boiling the potatoes as you usually would for a salad, they're simply sautéed and steamed.
The sautéing step ensures you get some nice Maillard browning for umami and the steaming process cooks them until they're tender without making them waterlogged or soggy. Then you mix them with a simple dressing made from mayo, honey, and mustard, and you're good to go!
